Are there lazy questions?
Why do people ask questions on Hubpages that could easily be answered with just a bit of internet research? Are they just lazy?
Well, they want to ask a question, besides the answer they get from an internet search won't be personalized the way answers from their fellow hubbers are. You don't always just want an answer, sometimes you want a considered opinion.
What Sherry said. I ask questions sometimes that can easily be answered by Google but, when Hubbers answer them, I benefit from their personal knowledge and I have the opportunity to ask them further questions in the comments.
It is basically due to the fact that nobody asks what is 2 x 2 = ? . It is a lazy question indeed. But if somebody asks Why 2 x 2 = 4, one has to apply mind to answer it. Now I had to apply my mind rapidly to give answer to your question. Then how it can be termed as lazy. Every question to know Why? , How? .... is an intelligent question and it will provoke the active minds.
i think it is because people didn't realized that those lazy questions had been answered in HP. Repeating the same questions in different way but still gets the same answer from hubbers.
I asked a question on a plant I could not identify, not knowing what it was how was I supposed to search for it on Google?
Quite often people just want personal answers and opinions
To be honest sometimes its such a pain looking for the answers on the internet. Whatever the question it will take you to ask or webanswers etc. the worse one is yahoo questions and answers. By the time you find the answer its not worth it. some of those answers are so downright stupid its beyond belief. If you go to wiki etc then you have to plough through tons of meaningless other stuff to get the answer to your question. So in answer to this question, I would rather ask intelligent grown up people a question than get an answer from a kid just out of school who can't even spell! lol!

Do you ask questions on Hub Pages because you're looking for answers, conducting a survey or......?You're asking for other reasons?

All of us that have visited the question section know that much of the content there is of very questionable quality. It's difficult to see how many of the questions really contribute to the community or discussion on HubPages at all, ranging as they do from mediocre to banal.Of course, there are...

I think it would be nice if we could earn money from our questions here on hubpages. Still with the 60/40 split just like on our hubs. The only thing I would think would be people posting too many questions, so maybe implement a cap on questions ie 3-5 per day as long as they are not spammy. ...
