Has anyone else experienced ads being disabled when a Hub is edited?

It has happened again with my breastfeeding hub! I have edited some headings today. The pictures are the same and nothing else has changed; yet they have seen fit to disable the ads again.  I had this problem a couple of months ago and the ads were re-instated after I changed the pictures to less revealing ones. I HAVE CHANGED NOTHING ONLY SOME OF THE HEADINGS! You just can't win with HubPages at the moment and I am getting heartily sick of this.

    Hi Sue.
I can understand your frustration , the same happened to one of my intimate medical problem hubs. Breast feeding is something I strongly agree with and I feel should be promoted much more, but guidelines are guidelines and HP , if they are the one´s who do the editing have to stick within them.
I do agree that it´s maddening when you write about a subject close to your heart and then it gets moderated, but you are still getting the message out there and can put on eBay and Amazon products , Just not google ad´s.
I know when my hub got moderated I was advised by the friend who put me onto HP to steer clear of what could be considered " Sensitive issues" by some, but I felt I needed to make people aware of this medical condition so re-submitted it without google Ad´s.
I may sometime in the future have to deal with this issue again because someone has taken offence and flagged it, or automatic filters pick it up and it gets unpublished until the moderators have taken a look and made suggestions, but until that happens I will leave well alone as it is a hub that get´s a lot of views and therefore gets the message across.
Try not to let it upset you Sue, it´s not personal , just annoying.

The hub was fine; ads were re-instated and I'd completely forgotten about the problem. The content nor the pictures have changed, I just put some bullets in and changed the capsule headings slightly. I did not do anything else. Have contacted staff.

I wrote one about menopause and sexual problems, and the ads were disabled. Just for using proper medical terms? Really? I left it alone for the longest time because I felt it was important and I was going to stand by what I thought to be correct. I didn't care that I didn't make money on ads.
Just recently,I changed the word sex to intimate, and took out the word vagina (God helps us that we use real medical body terms) and all is well now. I think it is pretty stupid, but such is that. This is not a site for children, so I don't see what is wrong with writing a medical hub using proper terms!

My gripe is that all was fine after I changed the pictures 2m ago, then today it suddenly isn't fine after tidying up with bullet points and capsule headings reflecting the capsule content. No different words just rearranged. I want to swear!

If you swear, don't do it here...lol. I don't blame you for being irritated. Their rules don't make sense. Best of luck to you.

Hub Pages Advertisers don't want these types of articles.  They are getting to be too puritanistic.  Better put them somewhere else or they will unpublish them.

Do you think so? That's even worse than just disabling ads

They will not be unpublished, but the ads will stay disabled. The only way a hub will be unpublished is if it is violation of their rules. It doesn't mean that they won't be read. Mine was read several thousand times.

Yes they will, many have been and some of mine have been unpublished, not just ads disabled.

Yes, certain words like "breast" will set off automatic filters and remove the ads from your hub.

Can you believe one of my hubs was flagged for the words child abuse? Ridiculous.

I believe it as one of my hubs had the words child and violence in the same hub--mind you not side by side.  It was unpublished said their advertisers would like it, then ...3 different reasons, none ture mind you.  It's way over the top here.

Apparently it's Google who makes the rules. But I do wonder why when you can find things far worse than breastfeeding on Google!

Which makes woman's health hubs difficult, cause they don't like vagina either - Pap smear  and breast cancer info hubs out! Or, sexual health hubs. You'd think in the interest of health...you'd just put health ads on it!

As a GOOGLE society we are regressing instead of progressing.  The words assault and rape are out 2.  Can't talk about the body..period.  Sickening and dangerous for the well being and child rearing standpoints.
