   Do you have a favourite place in your home, where you always want to sit and feel peaceful there?
   
   A place where you feel more relaxed and calm. Your balcony, library, a particular sofa or your grandma' s rocking chair.

   I have a favourite place, we have a spare room, where my computer is, it is light and bright and feels calm, I sit and write or sometimes just relax in the sunshine.

   We call it the rock room.  It's actually a glassed in sunken porch. The windows are all the way around it and you can watch the deer come into the yard - amongst other critters. I'm getting ready to redo it today so I won't be online much.
   
   Great question you ask.
   
   Even though, I have a favorite ROOM, I also have a favorite thing to do.  I walk along the woods or in the woods on a good path (with no snakes because that wouldn't peaceful for me) and I sing to God.  A favorite:  How Great Thou Art and I feel so close to Him then.

      I can relate to your second paragraph, since even I have done it so many times. Nothing can be as beautiful as the Nature and we sure do feel close to God amidst Nature.

   Yes!  I have an art studio that I designed and decorated myself.  There's no place I'd rather be than in this room.
   
   The only downside is that it is in a loft room so it isn't very large.  I've seen others with room enough for sofas and sitting chairs.  That would be a dream.  I've even seen multiple room craft areas where one can sew in a room off of a main room.  That would be a bigger dream. 
   
   This room is special to me because it took me a long time to earn.  Hard work paid off and I took a lot of care and detail when designing and painting it.  My latest addition was to scrap an L-shape desk I had for the computer area.  I purchased a huge antique dining table with a leaf at a flea market for $40.  Now I have plenty of room to spread out my work and fulfill orders.

   My home office. And it is most peaceful when my son is playing at something and I am writing. Then I know all is good. For me it is the space more than the place. But if need be I can shut the door and do deep breathing and listen to music.

   Sharan.....I do have special places for calmness, both at home, as well as elsewhere.   In my yard, I enjoy sitting along side the deep, rippling creek that borders my property.  It's just down a slight hill and the view is lovely while the sounds are soothing.   The privacy it affords me, is also very nice.   Inside the house, I like to kick back in my combination office/library.  There I can sit and simply enjoy the quiet, while surrounded by books that I can browse and have access to my computer, should I choose to correspond with friends.   Thank you for the interesting question.

      You have almost drew a sketch of your Yard and I can visualize the scenic beauty and hear the soothing sounds.

   My favorite  place is on my terrace, where I can watch and listen to the birds, sometimes a squirrel will run by or a cat.

      Homes with terrace is so wonderful. Wish I had one. I also love to watch birds and they do visit my balcony. I also feed them every morning.

   My favourite place would be in the garden, I feel more relax there. Inside the house would be in front of my laptop where I do my writing and chatting to my friends and relations all over the world.

    I sure do on my balcony with my plants and flowers. I just love to watch all the nature and sit in the sun out there. It is a wonderful view of a river ,boathouse nestled in Queens Park of Stratford. Do You?

       I think i have similar choices. I love to be surrounded by Nature. Besides my balcony with plants, there is a favourite sofa given by my parents, in one corner of my drawing room, where I like to sit with light soothing music.
