It really depends on the Hubber. I have been here over 2 years, but for most of those two years, I wasn't focused on my hubs. I earned maybe $100-$150 a year at most during each year. Lately, I've focused on increasing that. By making sure EVERY hub is "evergreen" and updated, I've seen my earnings slowly increasing from a few dollars a month to over $10 a month. This isn't a "get rich quick" kind of thing. It's about really loving writing about what you know, and hoping that others like it (or need it), too. It also depends on the kind of hub - the more informative, answering-those-questions kind of hubs work great, as do recipe hubs. More personal stuff, and creative writing, probably won't earn you much, though it can be great for those of us wanting feedback. Ultimately, I'd say go with what Hubpages recommends doing (the "evergreen") as well as making sure you have your AdSense / eBay / Amazon stuff going and linked in to your hubs. And make sure you're writing about things that you know and are passionate about - because the best hubs are those written by people who care!
