I spend hours here fixing my hubs as HP wants as I know you do and ones that don't and you can tell... outscore us. Why? I only want a real reason not someone suggesting I do better. If A is better than B then A should have a higher score. K? lol
Haha ... Please don't find my laughing rude but Logic and scores/numbers are not related (in my opinion) - I am sure I can dig-up a hub I wrote on this years ago (lol). Cheers! : )
I'll answer your question here Faith. Since your income is traffic based, the hubs with the most traffic are where most of your income is coming from. Ads from Amazon an Ebay actually require a click, Adsense ads pay more for clicks than displays.
Thank you JR for clearing that up! I appreciate you taking the time to answer. Wow, I thought all ads required a click.

My hubs don't need rewriting. But thanks.
Forgive me ignorance, but how does one know which hubs make money, does the money show up somewhere under that particular hub's information? Or are you just looking at the views and assuming it is making money?
Jackie, it's not a matter of how well written a hub is. Google prioritizes evolving pages not by human discernment. None of this is judged by a human. It's all mathematics. Evolving pages tell the engine it is a tended page and raises its importance.
By tended I assume you mean kept up and if so mine very much are and I only compare mine to others since that is all that I can do on the knowledge I am given.
Yes, tended. It's all well and good that you tend your pages but Google can't know without little changes here and there. There are so many pages it takes a program to monitor them. Making changes is noticed by the program.
That still does not address what I am complaining about. If mine are more attended and better looking than someone elses should I have an 82 and them a 95? I have common sense to know something is not right.
Better in whose opinion? It isn't human based. It isn't a matter of aesthetics or even the human eye. All scores are mathematically derived. In both Google and HubPages. There is no way HP could go through it all to score it.
Well they need to improve their math then before they lose all their popular writers who is keeping HP populated. Too late for many they have already lost. Does seem they want robots instead of ppl. You kinda answered my question tho, pulling ads.Thx
Traffic itself plays a role in a hub's score. Your personal hubber score won't affect anything within your hubs. You can ave an 82 hubber score and a hub's score be 95. Hub quality (SEO) and traffic combine to make a hub's score.
But having ads does not contribute to traffic or scores?
Not at all Jackie. Remove them. Ads are there to reward traffic but not to help gain any. In fact, most web surfers hate ads and a lesser amount of ads can only help a webpage be more popular.
Alright! Thank you! That was all I really wanted to know. It is a big hassle for nothing and I do not like them either. Again, thx!
Yeah, most people do hate them. Amazon and Ebay are good for hubs pushing particular products. They rarely work. Hubpage ads are what will make money. They don't need clicked and if you're signed up, you can't control if they show up or not. Its nuts
JR, one can disable HP ads on each hub, right? Or will HP ads still appear? Thanks!
Faith, you can't control their ads or the ones that are adsense. Only the ones in your content like Ebay or Amazon. Anything appearing outside a capsule is not in our power to change.
Oh really. Thank you JR. Wonder why they have that option to disable ads then, when one goes under to edit a hub? Which ads are disabled if we say yes to disable?
Yours. Faith. Anything paying you. I don't think theirs are removable in any way.
Okay, interesting! Thanks again JR. I am just trying to figure all of this out here. I did not know I could put my own ads on, other than Amazon and ebay? LOL, sorry, I am not getting this, obviously : )
Yeah, HubPages has a program and you can sign up for AdSense too, which is Google's program. Anything in the content you post will be amazon or ebay. Outside is HP and Adsense. You have less control of it but it is what people generally make $ with.
Okay, thanks Jr. I believe I am signed up under Google AdSense as ads appear on my hubs, but I have no control over the ads that appear on my hubs, except for the Amazon and Ebay.
Right. That would be Adsense and HP ads. I get irritated with those because most times they don't even make sense in relation to my content. Its like showing ads about car insurance for a hub about not having a car. Crazy.
Right! Lol... one time they put up a wine ad on a hub about my dog ...who never drank wine ...lol
