I would like to know exactly how to add links to my hubs.

I would like to know exactly how to add links to my hubs, as I'm somewhat computer illiterate.  I've read the instructions, but I'm not quite sure what  to do.  Do you just go to a site and add that sites URL to your hub or what, without the okay of the site?  Please make the instructions as simple as possible, because I've read instruction, and as I said before, I'm not sure I have it down right.

Linking to another site doesn't require the site's permission.  Almost all webmasters would like others to link to their site.

When you are in the text edit module, you will see the tool icons just above the area where you type in your text.  To the right end of these icons there are two that represent a link (looks like a link in a chain) and a broken link.  They are just left of the x's for superscript and subscript.

You will want to highlight the text you will use as your link.  For example: if you want to have "Link Here" as the text for your link, then:

you will highlight it with the mouse,

click the link icon above (it will say hub_link.desc if you hover your pointer over it).

a box pops up with a blank for the site URL.  This is where you paste or type the full URL (including the http://) into.

Click the "Insert" button at the bottom left of the box and you should have success!

If it was done correctly, you will end up with the text you highlighted as a link.  You should test it by clicking to make sure it takes the user to the site.

That should be it.  Hope this helps.

Jeffrey Neal opened my eyes , by giving complete information about the links. Both the questioner and answering should be appreciated for this.
