Wow Phyllis I wondered about doing that very thing! Maybe my mother did sometime but really beets is all I remember her doing. Now I may like the bread and butter idea since I love those pickles but not pickled beets at all! Thank you so much!
You are most welcome, Jackie. This is the easiest way I have found of preserving eggs (especially after Easter) -- and they are quite tasty, too.

Well, I don't know about everyone else, but I'm curious.....did you make them? And if so, how were they?
I put some in bread & butter juice & they said they were pretty good but preferred if they were a little more pickled so I put them back in the fridge & since they will be back in two weeks I put some in pickled beet juice so I will see t
