   If you unpublish a hub, but leave it on the list, does it affect your score?
   
   My score is down and I am trying to raise up back up, but it seems that no matter what I do it is still low.  I do, however, have several hubs I have unpublished so I can work on them at a latter date.

   If a hub is unpublished, it is also no longer featured, so there isn't a hub score for it.  It is like putting an incomplete email in the draft box.

      But I feel the rating machine might be catching up this activity also in calculating your average scores. I wonder how it happens, if happens at all. But somehow it strikes to me like that.

   Honestly, I think noone can give you 100% correct answer. A month ago I started working on my hubs and I have 70 of them. My average hub score was 62 and I made it to 73. So after a month almost every single hub is improved by 10 but my hubber score is 80 and will not move!
   
   My personal opinion is that it is more affected by traffic, hub hopper and some other things than hub score only. So it somehow has limit on your profile and no matter if you make all your hubs to be over 90 other factors could limit your hubber score.

   i have 5 hubs not publish, the score went down but didn't effect my hubscore

   I do feel unpublished hubs affect your score to some extent. If you unpublish it for a day or two, nothing to worry. But keeping them unpublished for longer periods makes your average score of hubs come down. Your other activities like commenting, answering questions, etc. can make up for the decrease in average however. But I do not endorse keeping hubs unpublished for much time.

      Just another view to muddy the outcomes LOL!! 
      In my case my Hubber Score went up slightly when I unpublished 3 of my hubs.  This may have been a coincidence!

      At one time, hubs were scored before being featured. Hubbers would let their hub sit, unpublished, until the hub score rose up to a better score.  These hubs were not published, nor featured yet, no QAP.   So what do hub scores really mean?
