Do You write only on one niche or multiple niches on hubpages?
I am really excited to write on hubpages and am exploring newer ideas to grow my team here. Just want to know your thoughts about the multiple niches. Do you write on various topics or just anout one niche here on hubpages? What is a good option and why? Please share your ideas.
I write only on Indian Cinema as it's my passion. By writing about something you are passionate about, you can be sure that you will keep writing on that. When you stick to one niche, you will get more followers. But, if you write on many topics, you most likely will get less followers and you have to depend on search engines and other sources for traffic.
My suggestion would be to go with one niche that you are passionate about. But, if you are interested and so many topics and you are confidant that there are a lot of people out there searching for your topics, that's not a bad idea either.
I find it difficult to write on just one niche. Granted I've done most articles on video games, but I don't know, it would just be a tad bit difficult for me to focus on ONLY one niche. So I might delve into other niches every now and again as evident by my Scale Runners series (takes a look at various scales in music).
I've heard it said that picking one niche and sticking to it is the way to go, but I suppose if there's various things you're passionate about and you've the power to write on all of them I say go for it.
Though I've been told it's bad form, I write on whatever interests me at the time. This has led my hubs to be mostly about unconnected topics, although quite a few of them are about gaming.
I think it's always better to write about what you love, else you risk losing your love for writing. If you have enough to say about a certain niche you're passionate about, then that's great!
Thats the good advise @Indianreel. I will definitly follow them. But as @Niko said i also find it hard to write and research on always one niche. So i try to write on different topics as and when it comes to my mind.
I am also new here in hubpages, so this question interests me a lot as well. Basically, I think it boils down to what is your goal in joining hubpages. If you want to reach a lot of audience, you can go for 2-3 niches- this entails that you can write on different topics but your general background will also be spread thin. You can ask yourself too if you are here to publish a certain set of topics in mind only, as for my case-- to help publish medical articles from my own experiences or the ones I have read. From there you can expand but still within a scope of topics.
Nevertheless, I think you can still use the group hubs function if you are anxious that your profile display of hubs will be ultimately cluttered with several niches of hubs. Anyhow, I wish you the best of luck!

The focus of HP has turned to the niche sites. Editing services will only be used on hubs being considered for the several new niche domains for the foreseeable future. The niche topics chosen for the next year or so seem to be pets, tattoos, piercings, beauty, food, and beverage. If we don't write...

I've noticed a few hubbers mention they have multiple HubPages accounts. Why? Is it helpful to have more than one account? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Four months ago some of us noticed that certain topics were ill-distributed on the new vertical sites. Now that the sites are up and running more or less successfully, is it now time to rekindle the discussion / negotiations on creating a couple of additional sites to better host certain...

Has anyone heard anything about the future of poetry and fiction in terms of niches? I am a bit concerned that all us poets will get lost in the shuffle somewhere
