What do you think of the new HubScore update?

How has this update affected you (your scores, traffic, earnings, etc.)?

The past few days I've noticed the Hub that is currently getting the most traffic, went from a HubScore around 90, down to 58 (now the lowest scored hub). I just learned about the update, which explained why most of my hubs went from a score of 80-95 down to 60-70. Kind of depressing, people rarely comment/interact with my hubs (guess I'll have to figure this one out).

Even more depressing though, I noticed my earnings dropped (again). I'm earning 1/3 what I did last week, I figure due to the update as well.

Call me crazy, but I'd say the Hubscore should only reflect the actual quality of the article in question, rather than being based on incredibly unreliable things like, y'know, traffic.

I would agree, it should be based on the quality otherwise we really don't get the "quality" rating (which for a long time I thought that's what it was based on). However, I don't understand how my lowest hub is getting more traffic than my highest.

That is strange. I'm sure it'd be a pain in the butt, but the HubPages staff should really go through every hub (or at least a good bit of them) and double-check whether or not the Hubscore algorithms really are reflecting the articles' true quality.

Hubscore changes, mine dropped from 98 to 88 and some went down to 63

Not to bad, my hub that's been doing the best in the last 30 days went from 95, to 58, now I'm just confused. If it's the worst written hub I have, how's it generating the most traffic? My earnings also seemed to have went down with it.

There are some long time writers with good reputations whose overall scores dropped to 69 and below.  HubPages is becoming quite a harrowing place indeed.

Don't panic. It happens. There is two type of score, that is Hub score and author score (seen below your profile photo).  I had a very impressive author score of 98 and it fluctuated mostly between 90 and 95. Now it's dropped to 80. I have noted that it sows the dropping trend once we publish a new hub.  Overall it shows a negative trend now with less traffic, less earnings and lesser engagements by fellow hubbers. Let's hope for the best.

The new HubScore update is totally demoralizing.  There are great writers whose HubScore dropped from 10-15 points.  This is ridiculous.  HubPages is only doing itself a disservice by issuing this update.  Many great writers are going to stop writing hubs.  Also, there are going to be more who will simply leave HubPages because of such capricious rules.  HubPages is not such a pleasant place anymore. It really doesn't pay to write here anymore. To those who have dramatically decreased hubscore, simply STOP writing.  Your efforts simply WON'T be appreciated.
