Why would links be marked as broken if they aren't?
In my hub about George Watsky, 2 links near the bottom are marked through with the black line and considered broken links. When I click on them though they work just fine. Why would they be marked through if they aren't actually broke?
I have no idea. I just tried them too and they work after you click on the link HP provides in their message that the link may be broken or no longer available.
I was wondering the same thing; one hub I wrote months ago about shoes has been showing up as having a broken link. I have check it many times and it works. Guess it's something on the WWW messing it up for everyone and throwing off hubpages.
In some cases websites block the process we use to check if a page exists and this can result in false positives.
This means when we check the page the web server returns a code that says the page isn't there, but if you go to it directly the URL works.
You can double check the specific URL using a site like this one.

You can also re-test the links here.

We are considering adding a feature in the future that allows an author to mark such a link as fine (ignore it), but the current state is some may show as broken due to the information presented by the website.

This is a great feature HP has...flagging Hubs where links within those Hubs are broken. However, just in the last 20 minutes, four of my Hubs showed on My Account page as having broken links. Only one did. (As in, there was no yellow text when looking at those Hubs in edit mode, for three of...

I've been trying for months to get my Pnterest traffic back to my hub pages. I just found out that my Pinterest pages go to a hubpage on Pinterest that is totally unorganized, they would never find my stuff! WHY aren't my links coming back here to my Hubpages? Am I missing some thing? I don't want...

I just found a (!) warning on one of my Hubs, due to two broken links to my own Hubs. Clicking on the links led to 404 error pages. But the pages the links were supposed to go to still exist, and are still published and featured. It seems the links should have been good.I went into the Hub and...

I have a YouTube video at the bottom of a hub which used to be viewable, but now is not. However, the introductory still picture still shows up and it is very pertinent to the subject. It is of a piece of art that was auctioned at a record breaking price. The question is: is it all right to leave...

I had six hubs showing broken links yesterday. I corrected all of them, but two are still showing the broken link icon. And, the edit date hasn't updated. Anyone else seeing this?

It's not professional, and readers are getting a false impression. Has anyone heard why false YT broken links report this keep happening?
