    How do I drive more traffic to my hubs? Are there some pretty easy, light-weight approaches?

    I would suggest writing and submitting articles containing backlinks to your hubs.  That includes writing related hubs with links to your other hubs.  That's how you get traffic from search engines.

    Well you can put a link to your profile on forum signatures, email signatures, and on social network sites. I'm sure there are other ways as well but I believe these are the most obvious.

    I use IM Automator to create backlinks.  It will give you up to 10 links a day to your hubs and it is free.  They have a paid version that will give you 25 links, but the 10 free will probably be all you need.  You can find it here: http://www.imautomator.com/

    The more backlinks you have the more search engine traffic you will get.

    Writing quality hubs with unique content is probably the most important thing you can do to draw traffic. Be sure that you enter tags on your hubs with keywords and phrases that will find your hub when people search for them. If you have more than one hub in a category, you can include a link to the related hubs to encourage readers to read it.

    It is also a good idea to read other people's hubs and leave genuine comments. I know that I will visit the profiles of people that visit my hubs and frequently end up reading some of theirs. Likewise, participation in forum discussions and answering other hubbers' questions are a good way to raise your profile and draw traffic to your hubs.

    Search engines will eventually find and index your hubs and you will also get traffic that way. Be patient, it takes time to build up a good flow of traffic. Good luck on Hubpages!

    If you have a facebook, you could always drive traffic from there, considering the large audience that it can attract and you can get your friends more interested. Another way would be to link to your hubs from other blogging websites, this would create more traffic from blogs all over the internet and would rank higher in google search results, therefore driving more traffic.
