Here's another HubPages Community question. Tell me: Is there a point at which you stop replying...

to comments on your hubs? Does it have anything to do with the number of followers you have? After a certain number of comments do you just shut off, and therefore refuse to reply to any subsequent comments with even so much as a "Thank you for reading?" I'm just curious. Thanks.

I try to keep up with comments.  I may not comment after each post, but I attempt to acknowledge everyone who has taken the time to leave a comment.  I appreciate anyone who has interest in what I write and like to thank them.

I like it when people take the time to leave comments and I do make an effort to reply to all. It's nice to have the feedback on your work and it's also a social thing to be nice.

i have not yet......but, I can see why others, farther down the line might do just that.

Hub Pages, can't be allowed to invade your personal life or to become it.

You are taking it way too personally.  Some people have hundreds of hubs that attract a high number of commenters and they can't just sit around all day replying.  Sheesh. Get over it.

I attempt to reply to each person who leaves a comment. There are a few I felt like just deleting. I believe in full disclosure so have to use my business sense to answer a few. In business they call it reputation management.

Why? because each reply brings the hub back to the feed. I believe like most I write for exposure. Since I search the hub pages feed daily for information to share with business associates and anyone who might be interested, I like seeing my work on the feed.

In my time on hub pages I have seen people with literally hundreds of comments to a single hub. In each case there was a reply. In time comments stop coming. My advice would be create a document in a word processor to add if you don't have time to reply to each. Copy and paste, soon comments will stop. No one likes seeing the same comment time after time. Until they do stop you will still be put on the feed.
