Is a writer free to use his articles outside the Hub format?
As the help section of HubPages says: the content of the hubs is yours so you are indeed free to use them elsewhere. But be aware that if you submit it to other websites as well they might think it has copied from HubPages (because it was published there first), although the content is actually yours and not copied from someone else.

If you have noticed your traffic decreasing lately on some of your hubs, this Facebook page is copying content from several hubbers and publishing it on their FB page. The Facebook page is called OHealth atwww .facebook .com /pages ...
