Not a bad idea, however, forums also serve as chat room. You can discuss anything at different forums by starting a thread relevant to the forum's theme.

This has been requested several times already, with no success. Probably too much hassle
I also wunt a chat room! Forums don't allow for the same free flow of communication as chatrooms do.
If we're worried about spam or whatever, why not make it so that you have to have at least a HubPages rating of 80 or more or something, so only Hubbers with dedication can enter the inner sanctum of HubPages, where the Saints and the All Stars hang out.
There is a chat room on jimmy the jocks ning site. Just go to the page and you can all chat . I went there a few times, but no one is ever there when I am.

I've started a chat room for hubber's to connect each other easily. Relache suggested me to start a chat room for hubbers when I posted a Thread on 'Report a problem or Suggest a new feature' forum...
