Pretty simple feature. Allow users to attach links to pictures. Lots of available options could come from this, because right now it is hard to work around for people like me. Basically you could make custom buttons.
This is not allowed because it would allow people to post their own affiliate banners.
I can't see HubPages going to the trouble of programming this feature, when very few people will want to create buttons to link to other Hubs. Bear in mind you can only link to other Hubs that are related, not to your profile or unrelated Hubs anyway.
HubPages has had people asking about this for years, and it would seem they don't want to do it because they don't want people using images as off-site promotions.
Thanks for the suggestion, smeyerz. The photo, itself, can not be a link because the click triggers the lightbox that shows the full size photo (or starts the slideshow if you have multiple).
You can add a link in the Source box under the photo.

I am working on one of my new websites - and I want to link back to my hubs here. How many times is this OK to do on a website page before it is overkill?

It would be useful to have the ability to automatically delete all 'broken links'. While sometimes I like to visit indivudual hubs to check the link, in most cases I simply delete the offending link.....
