This has been a wild year you can't deny if you do then you must not have paid attention. Lots going on from the usual but more severe natural disasters to politics and war.. Our climate is changing no matter what this has been the hottest year ever recorded. And if history repeats itself then Yellowstone is gonna blow her top sometime in the next century.
Er... while climate change has enough datapoints that there's very real grounds for concern, the Yellowstone volcano is not showing any signs of being due in the next millennia. Sensationalist mockumentaries on TV channels should be taken with doses of salt, since they often go to the most wild-eyed conspiracy theorists they can find on the grounds that it gets better ratings. (I'm looking at you, so-called History Channel.)
From the USGS scientists who actually monitor the Yellowstone caldera, we have a rather less exciting report on the state of the Yellowstone Supervolcano:
-- source: USGS FAQ on Yellowstone
So you can at least put that fear to rest. (Although the BBC dramatization "Supervolcano" was indeed quite exciting.)
Very valid statement. But i must say this have you heard the expression "Quite before the Storm" That's what Yellowstone is doing IMO staying under the radar until one day BOOM! But besides Old Faithful what about the intense solar flares and everything happening in space?
