I've been on Hubpages for 3 years now, but at some point I stopped writing as much as I feel that I should be writing. In the last two years I've developed a better understanding of Niche Writing and why writing in a niche topic is so important.
Because I will probably be attempting this challenge multiple times, I'm starting with a topic that I know isn't likely to get a lot of external traffic, and therefore isn't likely to make me a ton of money. I'll be so focused on earnings after the new year that I want to take this time to ease myself into the program. The niche topic that I'm going to be writing about is Getting Started with Hubpages. The purpose of the challenge will be to write fourteen hubs that are related to making Hubpages work for you and to understanding the ways in which it compares to other platforms that are available on the Internet. Considering that I write on five different platforms and have several blogs, I thought that this might be a good way to get started.
I'll be formatting and writing my launch hub tonight, which doesn't count for the challenge, and then will be writing the fourteen hubs each day following that. Doing this twice in a month amounts to writing thirty hubs in thirty days as well!
Maybe I'll get the courage to try the 100 Hubs in 30 days challenge again at some point. I failed it the first time that it was issued.
I finally got this started. The holidays took it out of me and I was finding it difficult to get focused on writing here on Hubpages. Regardless, here is my starter hub, the one the purpose of which is to chart my progress and explore some of the newer features on Hubpages.

I haven't posted my first two hubs here (and I need to update the base hub, but it's late and I'm tired so that can wait until tomorrow).
Here's what I have so far:

I have only been a member of HubPages for 5 weeks, and already I have made close to $1,000. I know that this is not exceptional for some Hubbers, except I only have 13 hubs, I am not an internet marketing guru,...

So, Hubtivity is swamped with new hubs that nobody really wanted to write and nobody really wants to read. The natural (and excellent) dynamic of this Great Domain is destroyed. And those of us who have work to do or...
