In-line (hyperlinked text) ads in Hub probably means you have malware

When I went to edit one of my hubs, I found a lot of words highlighted with in-text ads. I am wondering if they are from the Hubpage Ad Program or if someone is getting into my account. I have no problem if it is Hubpage ads, but I don't want someone else doing it. Thanks Barb

I just edited some hubs. No in-text ads.

What you are describing is a common malware symptom. Not HP, but your computer.

        I'll try scanning it. Thanks.

As @paradigmsearch said, this is most likely malware as we do not use in-line ads.

Many times with Chrome, it is a result of a browser plug-in that is injecting hyperlinks in web content that does not have it.

You can find info here about disabling plug-ins:
      https://support.google.com/chrome/bin/a … pn_plugins

If digging into your browser plug-ins seems like too big of a task, you can also uninstall and reinstall the browser and that should remove any plug-ins you installed that are not included with the browser.
