I know that there have been a few questions about what Google Authorship, Author Rank and Authority on the forums recently, and how this might impact now or in the future on search results.
Here's a great video interview with Mark Traphagen, one of the main experts on Google Authorship, recorded from a Google Plus hangout. The talk about authorship starts at around 1o and a half minutes in.
If you're interested in improving how your hubs appear in search in the future, it's worth spending some time watching this as it summarises nicely how authorship, authority, social media sharing, Google Plus and everything else fit together.
