Is it possible to build my hubpage or a website about many different unrelated topics and still rank for a lot of them on Google?
I think if you write different intersti g topics that are well sought in googles, your hubs or website may get to the top, try typing in your hp URL in page rank, you will see your ranking, mine is 3
I didn't get you what exactly you wanna asking about. Please elaborate your question so that i can get back to you with the facts.
Yes, it is possible. I have a few hubs that are stand alone and not related to my main "body" of work and they are doing well. It is easier and in the end better though, to write a number of hubs about a common topic so that you can create links to your other hubs on the same topic. Ultimately, what you want is for someone to read one of your hubs and be so excited about what they find that they will then read all your related and linked hubs.
