Where best to place a hot topic?

If you had an article that was number one in Google searches, would you try to use that information on another site, or does that risk displacing yourself? Obviously it wouldn't be a direct copy, but a similar presentation.

I believe that first I would copy it to the new site and then rewrite or rearrange it - or at least parts of it so that it is not a copyright.

I would try to use the idea, but from an entirely different angel. Use different keywords too. Here is an example: how to grow squash, how to cook squash, butternut squash, summer squash etc. You can take any idea and expand on it profusely. You can even take a small idea and make it your niche to keep writing about.

Thank you, I'll give that some thought. Good suggestions.

      Hi innerspin,

Google looks for originality in content as well as quality (and so does HubPages). It's best to write about something unique rather than paraphrasing. Barbara Kay's suggestion to write about a different angle of the same subject is a good one. Good luck!
