No Sign-Up link?

What happened to the link we used to be able to pick up and put on our profiles, to invite others to join Hub Pages?

Is there no longer an associated "reward" if someone does so on our recommendation?

Is this link in a different place?  I do not see it on the signed-out front page....where it used to have a "sign up to write here" link...

    Thanks for any info.

Referrals are still there, you have to be persistent in finding out how to do; HP has made it extremely difficult.  Basically, there are no more "links" per se, no that I know of anyway.  What you have to do now is when you want someone to sign-up as a refereral you send them a link that looks like this: http://myesoteric.hubpages.com/_ScottsF … eory-183b.  The "ScottsFriends is my tracker ID I set up earlier and the '_' underscore is needed to identify you as the trackee.

I am pretty sure it goes before the '/hub/ and not after, but if that doesn't work, put it after.  I know one works, because my step-daughter is now one of my referrals.  I will let you know later if I get any of her commissions.

Hi Liz - The 'sign-up' for HP has been removed.  In addition, we are asked to remove each sign-up on every hub.  This has been the rule for sometime now.  If you open up a previous hub and click on edit, then go to the 'sign-up' that you've previously added to your hub, a 'warning' (or something similar) will pop up asking you to remove the sign-up.  Guess we don't get credit for this anymore.

I don't know anything about a 'sign-up' link, but it appears Hub Pages have been making quite a few changes over time. Do they inform the hubbers when changes are made? It would be the courteous thing to do and help alleviate a lot of confusion.

I used my signup referral link as the website icon on my Profile (at the top on the right where you see "Also follow me on Google+, Pinterest," etc.) If you click on that website icon on my Profile page, it takes you to the HP signup page. (If you are already a Hubber, then it says "You are currently signed in to HubPages").

I also include a referral link (NoFollowed link) at the bottom of most of my Hubs.  Yes, you get a style tip warning, but it is still allowed.  HubPages has its own ad on every one of my Hubs to sign up and as long as their ad remains, I will keep mine, too.

WHAT "signup referral link" ???  That's the issue, I can't find it... and, according to prior answers, it seems HP has removed that capability.  Boo, Hiss!

If you hover your cursor over the link on WriterFox's profile page you can see what the signup link is

        http://hubpages.com/_YOURCODE/user/new/

Replace the part that says YOURCODE with your own tracker code(s).  They all start with an underscore.

Hmm..ok, thanks, calculus-geometry... but, if HP has disabled the function, according to some earlier replies, is there a point anymore in doing this?

I couldn't find any official HP announcement that they disabled referral signups.  WriterFox  just said above that he gets some, hard to argue with empircal evidence.

The only thing HP did was tell people not to put the signup referral link in their hubs.   But of course, you can still do it if you don't care about the warning box.  And you can always post it off-site, like on your blog or something.  No cause for alarm. smile

If my memory is right, very recently a similar question was asked and response came from a staff member who stated that if someone signs up via your referral link within 30 days of accessing it, you stand to benefit.

You can also earn income by placing your referral link when you link to another person's Hub.  You actually earn a percentage of the ad income from that Hub.

The one thing about the referral program that I don't like is that the income you earn is just part of the overall HP Ad Program income and you can't tell what portion came from your referral links.
