I am a total newbie. I have seen Hubs with YouTube videos inserted. Is this allowed? In particular, can I use TED Talk videos without being in copyright violation? Thanks.
You can use any video which YouTube will allow you to use. Just insert the video capsule and then the URL of the YouTube video you want to use. Unless the person who uploaded the video has blocked the feature, the video can be posted on HubPages.
There are many TedTalks videos on YouTube. It's probably best to choose one which isn't very long for posting on a Hub. (I never post a video more than five minutes long on a Hub because people who find my Hubs from Google aren't looking for videos, but for text.)
I love using Ted Talks on my hubs! Just gotta find them on YouTube! Usually they're there- not always.
Thanks for the info. Some of the TED Talks have really inspired me, and I'd like to share them with readers.

In order to add your own video to a hub, do you have to join youtube first, upload your video, then put it in the hub capsule? I wish I could upload my videos like I upload my photos.
