I keep getting notifications through email and my smart phone that someone is following me, but my followers number does not go up - please assist.
Maybe you also have people unfollowing you at the same time and that's the total number remains the same. For example, let's say you have 100 followers. If you get a new follower but one of your existing followers unfollows you as well the total number of followers will remain 100.
