    Hello,

I am excited about being a part of Hubpages, especially since my first Hub, on the Ebola virus, was given "Editor's Choice" Status!

But can someone please help me in filling out all of the Hub payment information.  I cannot seem to make my way through it.

For example, in confirming my identity, I give correct answers to the two questions, Where did your mother and father meet (town or city)? and What was your first pet's name? but the system constantly responds that these are not correct answers.  These are the only answers, and they are correct.

Also, I don't know how to fill out the information which addresses getting paid for Hubs on Hubpages.

    Please let me know.

    Best regards,
    Peter J. Dellolio

Why do you think you got a Editor's choice, when you only have 1 hub.  EC hubs have to have at least 5 featured hubs. Your hubs are not featured until you have 5 hubs that pass QAP.

Payment is through Pay Pal only!  You give the email address to your pay pal account.

His Hub is featured and indexed on Google.  It is not an EC Hub.

        What is an EC Hub?

Would you happen to know why it asked me two security questions, which I answered correctly, and then kept repeating that my answers weren't accurate?  It's like having them ask what town you were born in, and you give the right answer, and the response is that you're not correct!

So I guess 5 hubs aren't required anymore!!!

      "What Is Boot Camp?

Boot Camp is a program that all new Hubbers must go through in order to learn about our quality standards. To graduate from Boot Camp, one must publish at least five Featured Hubs. Until Hubbers graduate from Boot Camp, Hubs that they published that do not pass the Quality Assessment Process will become unpublished. Boot Camp grads will earn a Featured Hub Accolade and all of their future Hubs that don't pass the QAP will remain published (and simply not be Featured)."

On the confirming identity questions, make sure your spelling and any caps are correct.

But this is becoming more and more bizarre.....In my case, it was my first pet's name and where my parent's met.  First, how would Hubpages know this in the first place?  And in the second place, why would they system take my obviously correct answers, and claim they were not correct?

You may send an email to team@hubpages.com and someone will probably respond tomorrow.

Bravo!  Direct and simple communication with an informed party.
You know, this reminds me more and more of that scene from Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey," where one of the explorers is looking at a movie-poster-size set of instructions on how to use the space toilet.  He studies them with an attitude of serious contemplation.  They go on and on and on, from should level to his ankles.  All of this information.  To use a toilet.  Sometimes it seems that the more complex our technology becomes, the more absurdity is injected into the commonplace and the ordinary.

Peter, first of all, do not give out your security questions - not  a good idea. And, HubPages does not know those answers - they are similar to passwords and the system expects the answers to be the ones you originally entered.  If your answer is missing a cap, misspelled, or wrong, the system will not let you in.

I appreciate that.  But I didn't mention the answers, which are the important thing.  Also, I never gave these answers to Hubpages in the first place, so I don't know why they are asking the questions in the second place.  I only set up enough of my profile to be able to submit Hubs.  Anyway, if I ever do get any $ for this stuff, it will be through Paypal and that is an internally protected transaction.

There is a bug with security questions. I had one that hasn't worked for 2 years, then suddenly it has decided to work.

FishWriter, EC is Editor's Choice.  You really need to visit the following two links and become familiar with the contents there, it will help you  a lot:

I was looking at the legend under my Hub listing and realize that "Editor's Choice" was just something that is at the top of the legends and doesn't apply to me.  I am a newbie!

The questions are Security questions which you need to answer. Otherwise, you will not be able to use some of the earnings functions to get information.   Secondly, you must give pay pal email address if you want to get paid. Once you hit payment minimum, HP automatically sends payment to pay pay. You don't request payment.

OK.  That makes sense.  I just sent a long email about all this Hubpages (team@hubpages.com).
But could you tell me please....I've looked over the site and can't find anything....Where do I go about answering these security questions?

Try profile page, click on edit profile, and the bar at the top says passwords.
