When I first signed up for HP I was also impressed by the expertise of the techie staff or folks that post for them. I'm curious to learn if there are snafu's that the merger generated that had folks hopping and jumping to remedy because they were unforeseen.
The HubPages staff is jumping because they implemented several changes all at once - hiring new editors for their new HubPro program, moving content from Squidoo, and switching to new servers. They also had to deal with changes from Google. I don't think that it is the lack of expertise or because there was anything unforeseen, but simply the speed of all of these changes all at once that need adjustment. I'm sure there may be some unintended consequences that needed tweaking though.
