    Hello fellow hubbers,
I have seen numerous comments on how to increase traffic to a blog. But I haven't concrete ones on generating massive traffic to my hubs using white hat methods. Anyone with an idea?

Are you already doing social media stuff?  I find that I get an extra 2000 hits or so per week on my articles via simply telling people about them the right way.

I will give you practical advice never having been to Kenya I can only call upon my experience thus far. I think you have to ask yourself why are you writing here. Is it just to make money? If you want to earn money use what you have written as a visual resume and get some freelance writing jobs which will put cash in your pockets.

On hubpages it takes years to make significant earnings and the hours you commit will be substantial. Look at this article bobbysd.hubpages.com/ how I got visits and earned on hubpages.

He earned $1500 usd in 17 months it took a lot of time and effort. Plus he was not writing for entertainment or pleasure but creating articles supporting a niche. If this is your goal follow his methods but the amount of money per hour of effort is very low.

As for social media unless you have a following then you will spend a substantial amount of time building an audience and probably will need to spend money to boost your pages. This is an going commitment of time .

If you are like me and have a job and family you can't write 25 articles a month and also have time to be on facebook, Twitter, etc

Everyone in the world is a writer these days so to break through the noise takes years of effort so you won't be seeing massive traffic anytime soon.

Remember hubpages takes 40% of your earnings. Is this where you want to be?

    Good luck

    Thanks Nick DeGeorge,
Good to hear you have been to Kenya. Thanks for your timely and selfless response. Like you, I do write on the side and my goal is to build enough traffic to start earning a significant income in two years time. I am thus looking to build the traffic on gradual basis.
