Really sorry to hear this..Get well soon Teresa and learn to type with your toes in the meantime! What will we do without your hubs? I've only just met you and already I'm hooked on them. Take care. Big island hugs!
Sorry to hear Teresa. All the best. A few more pillows to get comfortable when you sleep I guess, and we will stop driving you so hard here on hubpages till you have two hands working again, when we will expect a hub about it!
Aha....that explains it! We were wondering why you hadn't made it to Elena's hub about hands! If you haven't read it yet, head over there, you will love it!
Sorry to hear about your broken arm! I sense some new hub material will be coming out of the experience though. Isn't that what we do? Take ordinary (or extraordinary) situations in our lives and turn them into hubs? *wink*
I hate broken arms!!! Actaully I hate anything that is broken. Sorry to hear about your ordeal. I will pray for a quick and speedy recovery.
AEvans, you need the link to the graphics to get them here. You then must use bbcode. For images it is like this. beginning tag is [ img] with no spaces and end tag is [/img ] with no spaces. Put the graphic link between the two tags. I used spaces to keep the system from thinking it is an image I am posting.
Ouch! Life has a way of sending these little reminders. Hope it doesn't keep you down. We'll all try to write hubs that keep your mind off any pain. I've found that I can block physical pain when engrossed in reading, a very worthwhile pursuit I high recommend in these situations.
I am dreadfully sorry about your broken arm and wish you fast healing. At least your fingers still work on a keyboard, but I know you must likely keep the arm elevated.
Best wishes and know that I'm thinking about you. A few years back, my ankle snapped apart like a chicken wing - the worst part was the first 20-pound cast and the swelling when it came off. Since you don't stand on your hands - that I know of - you will surely recover more quickly
Condolences on your spill, Teresa! I hope you're not inconvenienced too much. I found being an adult with a broken arm to be a great conversation starter. But after awhile I got tired of repeating the story, so made up new ones! Good luck and happy healing. MM
Gotta love those monkey hugs! Teresa and Dineane, if there's one thing in this world on which I'm an expert, it's broken bones. I wouldn't wish 'em on anyone! Big jackalope hugs (not as good as monkey hugs, but I can only paint with the colors I'm given), and a speedy recovery to you both!
Very many thanks for all the emails and the good wishes on Facebook, too. I was in surgery two and a quarter hours on Monday, so my cat is typing this for me. Just got back to my camper and can finally catch up on reading all your hubs (prolific bunch, you are) and watching the episodes of the Daily Show I missed. . . .
Typing one-handed sucks but you'll get the hang of it. I type with one hand quite often and I believe I have mastered the art. It seems to wear me out though; because after I'm done typing one-handed, I just want to go to sleep.
How horrible things must have been for you to decide to go.I only hope wherever you are now it's no longer horrible.I'll never forget our laughs. Ever.Missing you already.I love you.Goodbye Dad.Still, Your First...
Well I'm just in a doozy. I dislocated my shoulder last weekend, had to go to ER, x-rays and then they reset the shoulder. Now I'm in a sling but I still can't raise my arm more than a few inches. So I come to my fellow...
Dear fellow hubbers,Some of you have astutely noticed my recent (as in only the past 48 hours) absence from HP. My 85-year-old dad declined quite rapidly, ended up in the ER yesterday (Sunday) then ICU last night. All...
