By the way, if publications insist on only accepting pieces which have not appeared elsewhere, rewrite your already written articles to the publications' criteria, give them new titles, and submit the new version.
And another thought: the new version will be better than the original due to the added, updated thought and effort. Give it a thorough proofreading though. We always know what we intended to write, but sometimes it isn't what you thought it looked like (such as "then" rather than "than" etc.)\
Take that original thought and effort and make it work for you.
