Mary615 would like her hubber friends to know that she has had a stroke but is recuperating very nicely at our local hospital and will be writing again very soon. She dictated the above to me, her daughter Mara, word for word. She misses HP and will be back soon! Thank you all for your loving support!
I am so sorry to hear about this. Mary, you keep the faith. The road to recovery will be long, but I know you will take the walk with dignity. All of my prayers and blessings will be with you every step of the way.
Hi Mary, I am sending hugs and get well wishes to you. It must be nice to have a daughter to be with you and write to your friends. My Sweetie Angel could only bark a message for me. Take care and let us know how you are doing.
Thank you Mara for giving us Mary's message. Please relay to Mary that my prayers go up on her behalf, and i also pray for her quick recovery so she can get back to 'hubberland' as soon as is possible. Best wishes
Dear Mary, a true Southern Gentleman, Randy Godwin, is sorry to hear that such a "sweet lady" like you is ill and sends you his very best wishes for a speedy recovery. (He cannot post in forums, so I am helping him out here.)
Randy sent you a private email and hopes you get it soon.
Thank you for the update, Mara, and please add my wishes for your Mom's speedy recovery. Mary, your indomitable spirit and the love of your family will help carry you through this, but please know that your HP family is sending love, hugs and prayers from the world over just to help out a bit. You're a talented writer and a special cyber-friend to all of us, and we can't wait until you're back online. I'll bet Baby can't wait until she's back in your lap, either!! Mara, thanks again, please keep us posted.
We cannot say enough how much this lady, your mother, has come to mean to all of us. We are praying for her speedy and complete recovery. She is so sweet and caring only good things should be happening to her! Please give her our love and good thoughts.
As a fellow huber I sincerely want her to have a, speedy recovery, and strokes with time can gradually get better where you can not see symptoms . Family experience we dealt with over five years ago , lost of speech , now they talk faster then a typwriter. May God be with you and confort you Mary, I was looking for your hub info to remember you I could not find it . But I feel your tribulation.
Mara and Mary, I am sorry that a stroke has interfered with life, but trust that it will not be an obstacle for very long. A friend of mine had a stroke a few years ago and recovered and actress Nichelle Nichols experienced one recently and is recovering nicely, so I take hope from that and think you will join them in total recovery. Blessings; prayers going up!
Hello all of Mary's hubber friends! This is Mara again. Mary wants to thank you all for your love and support. She is sorry that she is unable to reply to each of you individually just yet. She is recovering quite well, making progress every day. The stroke affected her left side. She is quite able to speak well though, and thankfully, her memory, sense of humor and personality are unaffected. She has always been a determined and strong person so we have no doubt she will be walking and typing again at some point! Your love and support means a lot to her. I read each reply and told her who sent it and she knew who each of you are. Her family appreciates the love of her hubber community too! You all mean a lot to her! Thank you all! Mara and Mary
Have been checking for updates so thank you! Please tell her hello again and that while her return is greatly anticipated, I pray she is able to rest and recuperate at top speed by focusing on that rather than returning too soon.
Thanks for the update, Mara, that's really encouraging to hear. Hey, Mary, I'm left handed and all my left stuff is still working well, so I'm sending you a cyberload of left stuff that's in pretty good condition to help speed up your recovery Looking forward to your return, Regards, Bob
I just found this thread tonight. Mara, your update post on your mom's progress made this appear in my feed. I'm glad your mom is doing better and that her memory is unaffected. I wish Mary a speedy and total recovery.
Hi Mary. I just saw this thread today, otherwise I'd have sent my best wishes weeks ago! I'm very pleased your daughter is close by and keeping an eye on you. (Don't let her get up to any mischief, Mara.)
Take care, Mary. I will be keeping an eye out for your future hubs! You're going to have so much to write about.
Mara, the update within the last day or so was a nice one to see. I imagine there are many Hubbers who have been checking for your updates since your first post, as I have been - continued wishes for your Mom's recovery and progress.
Hello Mary and Mara, Here's hoping and praying for a speedy recovery and a quick return to your regular activities and your writing. This stream of love and outpouring of support is refreshing and inspiring. You are well loved and missed by all. Peg
