im not sure what to do my computer keeps asking for vista home-product-key' and i dont have it my friend formatt my laptop and down graded my windows too. now hes back home and i cant stay online longer then 20 min please help someone free would make me very happy ...hanks
there are many softwares i found on net which takes out the product key from software only ,
search net ,
i it didn't work , i can only give you my , if my works.
This should be in the technology forum, me thinks. =P
However, that said, if you have a legitimate computer with some version of Vista on it you should have an "official" product key on the underside of your laptop or the back of your desktop.
If your friend put on the wrong version the key won't match up and Microsoft will get mad.
But if you call them via their hotline and do a little jig and dance they'll usually comply with your wishes for a new key. It's not like they're hurting for customers..
...monopolies with bad software can sometimes be useful.
