Vertical site list

   I have not promoted this hub because only hubbers would be interested. Essentially, although I had a list of the sites, I didn't know what each was about, so I really had to go through all of them each time I was considering writing an article.
   
   So I've put that knowledge to use so that hubbers can have an easier time to find where to aim for!
   
   Hope it is helpful, and if I've made some errrors, please let me know.

      I don't agree they're too broad.   Once upon a time, you had to pick a very narrow niche to be successful, but the risk is that you run out of material - so most people nowadays advise a broad niche, so you've got fewer limitations.
      
      HOWEVER, broad is not the same as vague. 
      
      "Dogs" is narrow, "Pets" is broad and that works. 
      
      ""Board games" is narrow, but "Hobbies" is not broad - it's vague, because anyone can do anything as a hobby, from playing board games to building a microlight in their garage.
      
      Where HubPages has created broad niches, I think they could be on to a winner.  Where they've created vague niches, I'm doubtful - a vague niche isn't a niche at all!
