I've just discovered that Preditors & Editors is offline because they need a new person to run it.

    http://pred-ed.com/

It's a job I'd happily volunteer for because the site is iconic and SO valuable for writers.  But I don't have any knowledge of the publishing world so I'm not qualified to take it on.  Please spread the word! It would be so sad to see the site fold.

@Marisa, I humbly disagree with you. I am sure that the people who own this site would be glad to give you a crash course on who and what is hot now in the publishing sector.
      Do think this over.

He isn't replying the people who have already offered.

I emailed him and said I didn't have the necessary publishing experience but if it would work as a collaborative exercise, e.g. I do the website admin and someone else does the publishing research, I'd be a part of that. I got a reply within 24 hours.  So maybe worth trying again.

@Marisa, did you read my comment?

Yes, I did.   They say the person must have publishing experience, which I don't have - but if they find someone with that experience but who doesn't quite have the time to do the whole job themselves, maybe we can work out a way to share.

@Marisa, well I hope things work out for you. This, I am guessing, would be a nice way to do something different.

I was part of a willing group who emailed him... it was radio silence.

People who mess with the language to create hideously ugly words deserve to be mistaken for this:
