      Curious traveller! Canacks is just a nickname for Canadians (I just realized that I spelled it wrong it is written with just one 'n') Victoria day is the holiday we celebrat in honor of Queen Victoria's birthday May 24. This is usually the long weekend that we here in Canada get our planting done in our gardens, some open up the cottages for the year and some brave souls put in their first camping trip of the season ('brave' as it can still get quite cold during the nights).

   Canada has Victoria day on Monday. Some "Canucks" do like the British monarchy while others have different ideas of Canada   Canucks refers to avid hockey fans I think

   Not quite, Canucks are just a term for Canadians. I personally don't like hockey.
   
   There is a hockey team called the Vancouver Canucks though, the two are not related

   Hey all, it's a beautiful day with lots of sunshine but windy and chilly here in Peterborough, Ontario, Can.  I love this long w/e 'because my birthday is near.  Yeah, to all of us Taurian, Spring, birthday babies.

      It was chilly but sunny here in southern Ontario too but all in all a fabulous day. Again Happy Victoria day.
