I wrote a hub one the beauty of a country and added a slideshow of pictures from there...does anyone have an idea of what would be too many pictures to look at or what is too less?
Depends...But do write some content along with like about those pictures...individually
Churning out a just picture hub...would not be a hub (which is mainly a text variable)
Even a pic oriented hub with >30-40 pics would not be easy one to look at...
Hope that helps
Keep hubbing and Enjoy Hubpages
P.S. dont know about sleazy stuff... more and better for many readers in that case
for a Pic oriented hub.. 20 is fine i think.

Will having too many comments posted on a hub be a cause for concern? Could too many comments make a hub less google worthy? I have one hub with over 200 and that seems excessive.
