I am confused. I registered my Adsense with Hub pages but how do I post specific Adsense content in my hub pages, or can't I control this?  Another point of confusion is "Adds by Google" which have always been on my page, even before I was approved by Adsense.  What's the difference between these and Adsense?  Do I get paid if someone clicks on these adds from my page.  Is registering with Adsense just another way of "tapping" into profits earned from Adds by Google? Please advise.

Joseph, tackling Adsense is very simple: just make sure you have a valid ID in the proper box. Once it is set up, you may forget about it.
Google decides which ads to display by analyzing your hubs. "Ads by Google" and Adsense are one and the same thing. Yes, you get paid for clicks on ads (providing they occur within your 60% impressions share).
Registering with Adsense is the only way to earn from Google (on hubpages).

I put in the wrong name for adsense - I used www.hubs.com and so I can't validate any of my pages. I can't get info on how to change it. Can you help?

The problem i have with adsense is the Adsense for Search box. I just cant insert them on my pages.
I try the text capsule for this, insert the HTML, but nothing comes up when i save the capsule except the words 'custom search' and this is not active.
    Anyone know why please?

HP has a block on which tags you can use in the HTML editor, so that you can't ad things like banner ads, as the adwords search use javascript you cannot use them, just let HP deal with the google adwords it pretty much takes care of itself.

    MMMM I've been confused too.
Does that mean Dipless that one does not need to insert the Adsense ID code anywhere once it is issued?
Has me confounded as I had understood one has to do so to commence participating in the Adsense revenue sharing scheme. Does HP automatically do that for members?

you need to insert the adsence code into your affiliate settings which are located in your account under the tab affiliate settings.

You do need to do this to commence the revenue sharing scheme, the easiest is to follow this link

    http://hubpages.com/help/googleadsense

    follow those steps.

    Hope it helps

    Hello Dipless
Thanks for your prompt reply. I followed the routine only to find I was already registered in the adsense affiliate settings, obviously by some automatic method. Thanks for your help, nevertheless.
    Regards, John
