I adore the Seahawks, even when they loose..which seems like often, haven't been to a game in their new stadium yet, gave my son the suite tickets I won once. Love the M's too! Yeah, you're only 30 minutes away! Tom lives in Tacoma.
My husband has some friends who just hang out during the game nights. Even after marriage he hasn't stopped his game watching routines. He went to 2005 games and still has fond memories of Shaun Alexander. Anyway got to get back to work now. Nice meeting you.
The weather is much nicer here in California. bit I do miss the change of seasons. Last October, we headed back to catch the fall foilage. In five days we got to experience sunny and warm Cape Cod, blustery rains in Boston, near freezing nights in Maine, and snow in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Great time !!!
Oh yes I certainly get it. I did my masters in midwest and the change in seasons is something totally different. But I prefer no/little snow. I am a terrible snow driver. I am sure you must be enjoying the sunny SoCal weather through out the year(but beware of the fires).
Before moving to California I lived in the southern area of Maine on Ogunquit Beach. It's a small harbor town that explodes during the summer months. I commuted to Boston for work, 70 miles each way for ten years. Money was good but I loved living in a rural town.
I am originally from a small town called Wishaw, in the County of Lanarkshire, Scotland (the county to the immediate south-east of Glasgow.) I left to move to Edinburgh, then when my girlfriend got a new job in Uxbridge, Middlesex, Greater London, I naturally moved with her. When she announced out of the blue one day that we were splitting up (few months back,) I found myself living back again in the short term in Wishaw, Lanarkshire, Scotland, with my brother! (Stop gap until I get my head together and decide where I want to be.)
Full circle is not always a good thing. Having lived in Edinburgh and then London, to move back to my old home town is like selling your Rolls Royce to buy a unicycle! (No offence, anyone from Wishaw! )
Welcome to Hub Pages and I hope you have a wonderful time here and know wonderful success.
