Argentinian Gay Bars: 400k US Troubled Teens: 0

I have a 19 year old son who has grown up mostly without a Dad. He (my son) doesn't drink, do drugs, get into fights, steal, rob or vandalize anything. And yet he's about to go to jail, pretty much for sheer stupidity.

Long story short...I've been trying for 12 years to find some program somewhere that isn't one of those militia camps out in the woods that could help him. No dice. He waited was on the Big Brothers list for 3 years. At the end of 3 years he was told that he was too old.

I was just doing some more research and was shocked at what I found. Currently in the US, most (if not all) of the money we are spending for troubled teens are for those ALREADY involved in the justice system. I can't find any $ they're spending on prevention.

And yet, eerily enough, we're spending $400,000 on a study of gay bars in Argentina? Are they serious???

I'm sorry to hear about your son, and hope that prison is not too hard on him.

If your politicians are anything like ours then this study is probably very hands-on, $400,000 from the public coffers would pay for many gay lap-dances. smile
