Gunmen fire on group of Detroit teens, wounding 7. Is this another gang related shooting. How can we stop Gangs and Gang warfare. I am from Manchester UK and now live in Liverpool. Both city's suffer from Gangs and guns. Hell If I want I could phone a friend who phones a friend and within 5 minutes have a sawn off shot gun delivered to my door, can not get a pizza that fast and guns are illegal in the UK.

This was shown on a TV documentary which shown the gangs of Liverpool and the case of 11 year old Reece Jones who was shot in cross fire in a pub car park as he walked home from football practice. This still sickens me today.

I was disgusted by these gangs and what they are about. Don't they have any morals. They did not even see to take any remorse. They are sick in the head.

We need to get gangs of our streets, but how can we do this?

I once sent a letter to my MP asking if they can change the laws to state assaults by two or more people as a 'Gang' and under one of my Hubs, I suggest hefty fines.hmm it is very sad that innocent people especially children get killed.

It is so sad, and pointless.
Whatever happened to the perpetrators to affect them so badly they have reached the point where they will commit these types of crimes?

I do not understand how these kids get so bad. Why do social security, school teachers, neighbors not intervene with these social mis-fits before they get to this type of behavior.

The naughty kids in England get expelled from school and roam the streets all day and night.

We are trying to bring a new law out in England where if one gang member commits an offense the whole gang gets prosecuted for the crime. The way it is now they all provide an alibi for one an other. The new law if brought into place would help rid whole gangs in one fell swoop.

There seems to still be an urgent need to address keeping them off the streets and re-educating them.

its hard to teach an old dog new tricks. and these kids in terms of there life expectancy are very old.

I wish it was so simple as just re educating the kids, but its the older generation who give the kids the aim of life is to be a gangster. Believe me Liverpool is full of fcuked up parents who lead there kids into this life. Its full suburbs that need re-educating. I think if the new law gets passed we will see a big change in gang culture.

I did not realize the size of the problem. What to do? It sounds like the law is your best bet then.
