I live in a beautiful area near the finger lakes. We had a picnic at our cottage and saw fireworks all along the lake for as far as you can see! It was breathtaking! I wish I could have shared this moment with the woman I love.

I watched my rugby team get outplayed by the British and Irish Lions.  Very sad.

My husband and I were all geared up to watch the fireworks and hang out with friends, but unfortunately mother nature had other plans. smile

Instead, we spent a long time in the bath tub hiding from all the tornadoes in the area, just to find out it was another false alarm! haha. (There were several tornadoes we just got lucky.)

The fireworks were put off until tomorrow night, but hubby has staff duty (he's military) so I'll be watching fireworks on my own. sad

Oh well, there's always next year right? smile

There's nothing funny about tornadoes man! smile

It seems we have a siren go off here on post every other weekend. It never fails. The sun can be shining, the birds are chirping, the siren sounds, and I'm hiding in my bathtub. lmao.

I was behind the scenes at the opening Tour de France stage in Monaco. Free wine, free food and a little heat exhaustion.

Both Levin Leipheimer and Lance Armstrong did well. 6th and 10th respectively. My wife was waving a US flag for them and the other yanks.

All in all a great day - but no fireworks.

Took the grandkids to the parade, ate cotton candy and snowcones, went back later to watch the fireworks.  Watched bicycle cops give a ticket to some kids for illegal fireworks.  All in all a good day.

I stayed home and did nothing other than make sure the tiny dog didnt get upset from the sound of people setting off fireworks.  Tried to take a nap but since I never sleep, it didn't work.

We went to a friends pool party, had a total blast, great conversation, cool fruity drinks, lots of swimming and awesome fireworks, it was the best...but I am still recovering today smile  Fruity drinks were great.

I was recovering from the night before. Lager and whisky chasers. Brought on by just about the worst example of bigotry I've ever experienced.

Still - made for a great night out in commiseration smile

Nothing like taking your kids to a park where they have tons of rides and activities to keep them busy.  Than the firework show was awesome.

We did a lot it was my husband's first as a US citizen so we gave him works. First was a parade in the morning, then a cook out with my brother and his family, then we want to Harbor fest in Norfolk  Va. Lee Greenwood concert with fire works. Boy are tired today

Woke up early in Jerusalem, had breakfast in a courtyard under an olive tree. Went for a last wander around the old city, and then we went to have lunch with a couple of my other half's cousins. We then flew home to London.
