   Welcome to HubPages, Jim.  The most recent Aussie I've known face-to-face had a fascinating sort of trucking career (we drove for the same water trucking company).  One week into the job, a shoulder on a dirt road gave out under his tractor-tanker combo, dumping the whole shebang smack upside down.  He came out scratching like a badger to make a big enough hole to escape.
   
   That about 18 months later he left that company because another outfit offered him a brand new $100,000 Kenworth to drive. Guess being Down Under, even with a truck in Colorado, worked out okay for him in the end.
   
   Did I mention Aussies seem to be a tough breed?

    Well, I'll be in Zanzibar for Christmas, that is like a nicer version of Thailand, probably Egypt and Israel next June/July, and the Cape Town December 2010.

          Yeah, but over the years mud and rocks were deposited, and it became solid enough to grow mountains and support life.
          Lucky for you, because you victorians would freeze in winter and cook in summer if we didn't send you power across the Basslink undersea cable.
