An Air Forse base in Colorado has been hit with the Swine Flu, 15 tested positive and 80 more in confinement. What a shame,...Scarry too

Two more deaths in the UK today - both apparently healthy beforehand. One a 6 year old girl, the other a GP (family doctor).

That's very sad,...This world sure is getting nasty with all the wars, illness's and corupt people in the Government. They should be able to come up with medicines to treat this and vacanations I would think.

So let me get this right.  You wanted the vaccinations to be discovered, but then don't want it? :S

Also it has been discovered that the GP who died from swine flu didn't actually die from swine flu.  However, by August there could be, according to predictions, 500 deaths a day from swine flu in the UK alone.  Fortunately for those in the UK the government has made massive orders for the vaccine and other medicines and so will be one of the first, if not the first, countries to be able to vaccinate everyone.

It is also worth remembering that generally the only people to die have existing problems including diabetes, heart problems, breathing problems and being overweight and that the chances of a person who has no such problems dying is extremely low (acccording to the radio today 0.005%).

I guess I did counter act myself,...LOL. I like the idea of new vaccinations how ever I won't be the human guinea pig they give it to. You are right about other underlining illness's. Someone posted earlier saying California had over 500 cases but the death toll from it was very very low.

The college I attended confirmed two cases on campus. That will be the first known cases in my area. My semester starts in the middle of August. I just hope it will continue to decline. God Bless those and their families that have been affected.

We have over 500 cases in southern California and still climbing. Deaths have been trivial thus far here.

Wow, I am amazed at those numbers, also glad to hear deaths have been on the low side. Perhaps we are not doomed totally.

My psych professor was saying the other day that he thinks that swine flu shots will start being STRONGLY encouraged and offered for free by the U.S. Gov a few months or weeks from now.

That's good for some folks I guess,..But for me,..Na,.I'll pass. I'm not so trusting of those vaccinations.

The US government estimate that over 1 million people had swine flu by 27th June.  Even now the deaths are up to 246 in the US, which whilst seeming to be a lot compared with over 1 million infected (probably a lot higher now) the death rate is extremely low.

The concern is that it will morph into something more virulent by fall. That's what happened with the 1912 influenza strain that killed so many Americans.
