         I love Smashing Pumpkins.  I love Chris Cornell in all his bands.  I was speaking personally, when I said, "dorky and peppy".  I think I might be a little more dorky, than peppy, though.   Come to think of it, They Might Be Giants could satisfy my dorky peppiness.

    I think it takes more than one band to define anyone. I like Spinny because they have tribal elements and laughter in their acid dance music. I like Darling of the Dead because there is so much encoded in their synth industrial music.  Both are kind of unreal, upbeat and very playful.

    CAKE....my all time favorites!!! My youngest son introduced them to me in the 90's and (I swear) there has not been one day when I have not listened to their music since then (addicted!!)... They have silly, quirky, crazy sons and lyrics...not unlike me :-)
    
    When they came out with "Short Skirt/Long Jacket" I thought was was going to die, when I heard the lyrics:
    
    "she's changing her name from Kitty to Karen...."..... my name is Karen and I swear, they wrote it for me!!!! LOL!!!!
