Wow, I'm going to fan you just for that! I also love Tom Waits.

For me I can't choose just one band becasue there are too many sides to my personality: The Doors, Kate Bush, Donna Summer & Massive Attack.

10 years ago, I would've said, Alice in Chains.  Now, it would probably be something dorky and peppy.  All the best bands don't represent a content housewife.

who says a content housewife is dorky and peppy? plus, just cuz your content doesnt mean your flat. You have more then one mood? side? yes?

I love Smashing Pumpkins.  I love Chris Cornell in all his bands.  I was speaking personally, when I said, "dorky and peppy".  I think I might be a little more dorky, than peppy, though. lol  Come to think of it, They Might Be Giants could satisfy my dorky peppiness.

I am not sure what band name I would be but if I could be the drummer for a band I would want it to be with Garth Brooks, Rascal Flatts, Jessica Simpson or Carrie Underwood.  They would all be fun to play for.

I think it takes more than one band to define anyone. I like Spinny because they have tribal elements and laughter in their acid dance music. I like Darling of the Dead because there is so much encoded in their synth industrial music.  Both are kind of unreal, upbeat and very playful.

CAKE....my all time favorites!!! My youngest son introduced them to me in the 90's and (I swear) there has not been one day when I have not listened to their music since then (addicted!!)... They have silly, quirky, crazy sons and lyrics...not unlike me :-)

When they came out with "Short Skirt/Long Jacket" I thought was was going to die, when I heard the lyrics:

"she's changing her name from Kitty to Karen...."..... my name is Karen and I swear, they wrote it for me!!!! LOL!!!!
