Why are some people just mean and rude for no reason?

Ok so I took my daughter to burger king today and we were in the drive threw and this lady pulls up right next to me, leans her head out the window and screams, your fucken car stinks!! giving me the finger as she drove by. Then today I get on one of my hubs, the coloring hair one, and someone wrote a rude comment saying everyone who left comments needed to see an eye doctor. I just don't understand some people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Freemasons support the Pagan doctrines of Humanism, Materialism and Evolution. These influenced people a lot by mass propaganda and ruined the whole family structure of ordinary people especially in Europe, America and Australia. With these dogmas, they put behind the concepts of God consciousness which is reponsible for giving and taking respect and arguing with reason and logic. Even on Hubpages i see people just throughing rubbish and calling others only by names without supporting their speach with evidence, reason, logic and respect.

  Sometimes some folks are just having a bad day and they tend to externalize it. But if something happens often then neither ignoring it nor walking away from it works. In that case it brings us to the question: why "bad" things happen to "good" people. So far the only possible explanation I can think is that maybe I must have been mean or rude to someone at some point of time and it is my karma coming back to me and accepting it and moving on with life seems like a reasonable approach. When we spend our energies worrying about things we have little control over then even about things we have some control over we may not be able to focus. I guess I should stop here now. Hi I read it, thought it was good. I wrote about How to cover dyed roots, once as it was cosing me heaps to have them done at the Hairdressers. I just wrote down how I did it at home with product I brought from the hairdressers in Bulk, and got toldI wasn't a professional, and that people that followed my advise would end up with green roots.
I stopped writing anything on that Site as everyone ran it down and that was whatever you wrote.

When I shared some arts and crafts tips on Craigslist a year ago I had several people write some really, really rude comments. However, I think people will say certain things online they would not say in public. Also, those who say those things in public are usually frustrated with their own situation, so they take things out on others.

  I think it is inaccurate to say that Craigslist "encourages" rudeness, spam etc. The site provides an invaluable public service and should not be held responsible for the postings of the misguided few any more than HubPages should be for similar problems. Each site does an admirable job of providing forums for people to express themselves.

One day I had someone right in my face, saying that my ginger beard looked stupid....I laughed and he said I'm not joking...so I knocked him out!...some kind of beard racist...I hate that!

I think a lot of people were not taught manners or coping skills and are totally overwhelmed and self-absorbed so they lash out. This happened to me a couple of weeks ago and it's amazing how bad it feels when someone screams at you like that when you're basically minding your own business. It's a form of violence I think.

The internet feels anonymous so people say things here they would never say to your face. I don't think they even mean half of them, it's just some kind of cheap thrill. It's annoying though. I'm sorry that happened to you.

The other day, my 16 mth old pulled down my blouse and my boob which was covered by my bra was exposed , in Wal-marts parking lot, and this woman looked at me, with dragon eyes, as if to say, well I never in a million years would have thought what the world was coming to....lol....I had a good mind to just whip out the whole thing, but the woman in me held back....lol

I think that a large part of it is that people are extremely selfish. They feel that the world revolves around them. I've had people cuss at me and give me the finger because I was going through a parking lot legally and they wanted to cross all the spaces. I've had them shove me aside to get to the milk in case I had my eye on that one gallon.

Thinking of the others around you has become outdated and discouraged I think through most of society.

Oh, gosh-- maybe we are just getting too close together.
Living in a rural area now just seems nicer. People realize they may need their neighbors someday-- and they help others.
When we lived in the suburbs, it was a new street-- everone were first-timers and they shared experiences, help and advice.

  hey I think that is the answer...when I lived in metro NY and SE Florida,people were rude and always angry.....I think overcrowding naturally causes stress and bad behavior.

  I don't live in a city at all. VERY small bradford PA, but it seems like everyone in this town is terrable.. One time I was over in the road to far, at a stop sign cuz there was a whole in the road and some lady hollered get the fuck over.

I am sorry this happened to you, but the way you told the story was funny. I was picturing it happen and laughed. People can be rude, just laugh it off if possible. If it was me, I woulda had a finger pointing back at em and cussin or gas the car so the fumes would choke em.

All this makes me think of the time I went into the post office and made a jackhole of myself.

I got some stamps in there and I usually always got them at the grocery store. I got upset since I felt that the change that the machine in the post office gave me was incorrect. I stood in a long line and the guy said "can I help you", I said " yes sir, I put a $20 bill in the machine and I got my stamps but the machine ripped me off by not giving me the correct change". I said "the machine gave me back some weird looking quarters or tokens" and I showed them to him. He was purple in the face and he said "those are susan b. anthony dollars" He was holding a laugh back like you have never seen. I felt like a fool and the whole line heard the conversation. I just said "i guess that explains it then dont it". I had forgotten about those susan b. anthony dollars since I hadn't seen them in years. I felt like a giant jackhole. lol.

I think people get mean , because the attention makes them feel 'special' then of course you get the guy whose pissed at his boss an takes it out on his wife ,half his size , or the other way round coz the boss has more control...

This lady ran in front of me to get her luggage off those revolving things, and in her haste jerked her elbow into my ribs, I said hey!! relax they come back around ,and she yelled ( god I can still hear her scream)...Get this woman off a me!!!( she was the one falling over and into people!)

ah! ah! omg! ..more yelling .for this stupid blue bag!!

I felt something rise up from within me , an whisper extend your right arm back like this ...an WHAM!

I felt my eyes narrow, then my sis said let it go, hell might be the only thing she picks up all night

I got thrown out of a bar because someone had left a match on the counter that had been lit. I touched it to see what it was and the waitress came over really fast and said "i will get that" and wiped it off. Next thing ya know a guy comes and sits beside me saying he saw me doing drugs on the bar. I thought he was kiddn. Needless to say, they called the police and drug me out of the bar and searched my purse and all. Then said I still couldnt go back in there since they didnt want me in there and still believed I was doing drugs. I dont know what drug a match looks like. Strange rude stuff going on. I told them that I dang sure didnt wanna go back in there anyhow.

  You know how you said somewhere, I can't find it now that your stuff was getting to Page 1 real quick, are they using the Comments on your Hubs to get themselves noticed. Like with the Page Counts, Then I suppose they would get m ore traffic. I don't fully get it, but people seem to link to do that. So are you maybe giving them a free ride to page one. Plus you are popular on here, I was just thinking.
  I never had anything nasty said, to me until I built up my writing on the other (won't name it) Site, and then they all seemed to be being tacky and nasty, usually stupid comments.

  1. Thick as a plank.
  2. Think they ready know everything, and don't need facts screwing it up.
  3. Only read back 2 posts and missed the thread title.
  4. Have an inherent propensity to seek attention of either type, positive or negative.
  5. They are trolls looking for reactive posts.

  I know, he won't take medication. I've tried. So, yes, his dose is WAY too low now. I've recommended some excellent antipsychotics, too. Very reasonably priced, excellent quality, heck, even ships from the good ol' U-S-of-A.

  YEAH, Australia. So glad to hear how open-minded it is. One of the reasons I love Portland, OR is how open-minded and gay-friendly it is. Even the mayor of our city is gay. If I ever move out of the country, I know where I'm going.

  We have had gay officials including a State Premier who was openly gay 35 years ago. He is still highly regarded as he moved art and openness about homosexuality in to this century. Well read and a fine food critic he was a wonderful gentleman and honored world-wide for his humanitarian stance.

  he also created a restaurant where it was traditional for ladies to take their man out and pay. it was a great success, and as a young man I even had a couple of meals there.

Not sure if I care to venture down the Freemason route that seems to have entered this topic...but to comment on the initial subject...

People that act in these manners are more often than not simply insecure...you would think there would inherently be a larger degree of complexity behind their motives...but people that have a low self esteem feel that they must compensate for their own shortcomings by burying others.

Inevitably their negative actions only dig a deeper ditch for their already low self esteem to reside in...truly a sad commentary in and of itself.

  Australia is fairly flat, but we do have very dense mountains, just not very high or a lot of them. New Zealand on the other hand is breathtaking mountain views laid on!
  The people are similar in my view. Easy going in the main.

He had no idea whether it was day or night,

The next day he woke,
He found the forum in flames,
And he thought it was a very big joke,
And he finally started his game.

And he went ROFL,
And he did the LMAO,
But he failed to foresee the storm roaring,
That was going to come about.

Who was now advertising Allah,
Had no idea what he had done,
Would make him be sent off to Guatemala.

And finally that day came,
'Allah' came down and laughed,
Usmanali81 was banished and so ashamed,
But in fact it was the HubPages staff.

And once again the day was saved,
By the administrators of Hubpages,
And everyone behaved,
In the following ages.
