Suggestion for a feature-tracker codes grouped on one page

I was wondering if the HubStaff would be able to take our individual page links with the tracker codes and place these on one page in the My Account page.

This way, when we want to add these links somewhere we do not have to go to every single hub, click the "link to this page" and go to that page and copy-paste. If you have a lot of hubs, it can be very time consuming. I know I don't have near as many as some, but it would be more convienent.

Is there any way these could be grouped in on place?

    Thanks

What site would you be on, that you wanted to post tracker links to every single Hub?

You would still have to get a link to the individual page though. One link will not cover all. wink

And I think you can have 20 trackers - not 20 per hub.

I have tried to add trackers. All I can get when I try to do this is "page can not be found."

          Are you doing it here:

          http://hubpages.com/my/trackers

Thanks darkside - I knew you would know. smile

I'm pretty sure the page used to say 20. But it's since been removed. No mention of how many now. But I've hit my limit and I've got 30! big_smile

I would like to be able to have more than just one! I can't get the page where you add trackers to work.

You can't get to the page http://hubpages.com/my/trackers at all?

I read darksides hub and a bunch of other hubs he wrote and i know it works.

I think I did about 3 different trackers and I got about 15 sign ups in two weeks or so.

Ok, do you have to have a certain number of hubs before you can add a second tracker then?

darksideposted 14 years agoin reply to this

No. Unless something has changed you should be able to make trackers while having zero hubs.

        30 trackers actually.

Though you can use all of them for one hub. Not that I'd suggest it. But it would be just 30, not X amount of hubs x 30.

What I do is copy and paste the page URL, and then put the _tracker in the right spot. Done!

      eg: http://hubpages.com/_mytracker/hub/myhubpage

I do have websites, profile pages, blogs and involvement in a few social communities that I can share links on. Since there is a variety of people with varied interest, listing my hubs individually or in groups may catch someone's attention. And it has from time to time. With my tracker in each link I get credit if someone joins hubpages from my link.

And I have read here where you can have individual trackers for each hub. I think someone mentioned in a post up to a number like 20? I know when I have hit the "add another tracker" button, all I get is "Page can not be found."

You could always just write one hub to sign up and just use that one.  Or you could put the tracker on your profile page and lead your readers to your profile page. big_smile

I definately would not want to use all on 1 hub.

Since I have interests in different topics, with a different tracking number by category for example...I could see which topic was leading to more sign-ups (if I get any)

      That's how I use it.

Probably makes more sense to use them based on where you are leaving them rather than on a particular hub?

Agreed, I am wanting to use them on websites and profile pages I have outside of hubpages.

For me, some are for internal traffic, some are for external traffic.

So any backlinks from gather.com I have _gather

Any from bitesized.info I have _bitesized

For internal traffic I have _capstone for linking amongst my capstone hubs. _learn for my 'how to hub' hubs.

When I link to the excellent hubs of my esteemed hub colleagues I have _recommended

To make sure I am going to right place to create trackers...
    1. my account page
    2. click on URL trackers
    3. click on Create trackers
    4.  "Page cannot be found"

I think you should report the problem to admin.

I would double check that for you (3.) but I'm all outta trackers.

I checked and it does seem that it's a problem on his account. There could be others but mine seems to be working.

Ok, thanks everyone. It sounds like I do need to report this then. Maybe a simple fix for admin.

This is one of the things I have found to be an advantage of being part of hubpages so far in my time here.
I see, well a lot of different interactions (lol), but the helping of others is the best part.
