I have created a very long hub and want to create an index that would link to each book.
Is there a way to do this?
Additionally, is the length a problem on the hub? Should I find some way to segragate each book?
Any tips on formatting etc would really be helpful.

Nice job, SimeyC! One small suggestion for you. An index is usually an alphabetized list of subjects within a piece of writing; the index appears at the end of the piece. A table of contents (TOC) is a list of the chapters or sections of a piece of writing, in the order in which they appear in the piece; the TOC is presented at the beginning of the piece.
What you have there is a TOC. However, there's no need to label it as such in this online environment where it's mostly intuitively understood that links in a bulleted list at the beginning of a piece will take you to sections within that piece.

I just published a hub called "Game Raises Questions," where is it? It's not in "latest hubs" at all although it shows up as published on my statistics.
