It would be nice

    If people without hubs were restricted from participating in forums. It would cut back on spam and other nonsense.

      You have a point. The only concern I have is that a newbie might want to get help to set up their first Hub.

        That makes sense. To bad there isn't a way to block off all forum topics except the help topic

    That would seem to be true. I did not go near the forums until I had written some hubs, and did not know you could write here without a hub until a few months ago when I started to come here to the forums.
    I did not need to ask questions to get started, I read the FAQ.
    It's the fanatics that make it hard, I like the idea of an open forum, democratic and all, but would like to know more, it would seem like a solution. smile

    Well that's not too friendly or democratic. I just ignore the ones  who ask or say stupid stuff, mostly and spammers will always find a way in.
