One of my favourite singer/songwriters ever is Harry chapin, who tragically died in a car accident in the 80's.

This song is called "Story of a Life".

Lyrics are brilliant, and are included on the text panel.
    Enjoy smile

Yes, Harry Chapin can touch my soul like no other artist (Except maybe the Indigo Girls smile )

If you haven't heard of Harry before, get his "Gold Collection".
(P.S. Harry wrote "Cats in the Cradle", which has been covered by many others)

Are you talking about the song that goes something like this , The cats in the cradle and the silver spoon, little boy blue and the man on the moon, when you coming home son I don't know when but will get together then ya dad will get together then will have a  good time then....if this is the song this is one of my favorites. Gypsy dancing, dirty dancing, slow dancing....lol

One of mine and recent. Seriously, listen the whole way through,it's fantastic. Not to put anyone off, as it's in Portuguese but you don't need to understand the words - the music itself is enough to give you goosbumps.

Everytime I watch this video, I see Frieda Babbly smile

    The Gift

Anyway - the chorus (translated but not literal):

Que perfeito coração - The perfect heart
No meu peito bateria - Beats in my chest
Meu amor na tua mão - My love is in your hand
Nessa mão onde cabia - This hand where it fits
Perfeito o meu coração - Is perfect for my heart

It also gives you a chance to hear how beautiful the portuguese language is when it's spoken.

The video was shot in downtown Lisbon - Rossio square. My favourite place to dine out, go to the theatre and just sit ...

Yep. Even more than 30 years after the event, one of my life's greatest regrets was not going to his live concert in Melbourne, Australia.

I promised myself I would go "next time".
There was no next time - he was killed in a car accident.
From that I learned "Do It NOW! "

But we bow our heads hoping another day will come that someone will notice me, and not just treat me as if I am worthless. Thank you for sharing this JAne
