Please note that advertising and promotional posts in the forums will be deleted and may result in the closing of your HubPages account. Do not start threads for the sole purpose of promotion or posting links. Please use the Forums in the spirit of community!
A lot of people put links on their profiles, and even in their hubs, and this is okay usually, but in the forums you will be attacked, castrated of your dignity, and then your forum thread and possibly your HP account will be deleted, if you attempt to promote anything of yours (spamming).
Asking for advice on a hub, with a link to it, in the extreme makeover section is okay, but be nice to the hubbers there.
Hubbers, just like any other forum dwellers, can turn nasty if they suspect you of spamming.
